Our First Year

It's crazy to say that our first year is already over! I guess it's true to say that time flies when you're having fun! Right after we were married, we moved up to Logan, Utah where I (Taylor) went to Utah State University- I was originally going into Elementary Education with a math emphasis but I quickly learned it wasn't my passion and began course work on Family Life BA eventually leading to Marriage and Family Thearapy if all goes as planned. I now have only a few semesters left that I hope to finish online. I also worked part time at a loan comapany in collections. Tanner worked at Big J's in Richmand, UT which is a chain to the restaurant that Napolean Dinamite was filmed at so it was a proud moment for us! :) In October, 4 short months after we were married, Tanner left for basic training and AIT for the National Guard. He was

in Oklahoma and Virigina for his various trainings. He was gone almost 7 months and came home in December for two weeks for Christmas and New Years....it must have been a good visit because in January, on his graduation day, I found out we were expecting our first baby! haha! We were so excited! I texted him that the test was positive as he was lining up to accept his diploma!

In February, I was starting to have a harder time than I expected living in cold, snowy Logan totally alone, a little sick and pregnant so Tanner and I decided it would be best for our family to end up in Stansbury again so I moved in with my parents and put the majority of our things in storage while we waited for a townhome in the area to open up. In March we got into our townhome and Tanner came home April 29th, and shortly after that we officially moved in.

Now we're happy to be settled in our home (that's triple the size of the last one...we feel like we're in a mansion!) and we have a great ward of old and new friends. We feel so blessed to live in such a beautiful place, be expecting our first son, and to have such a good job (Tanner works at Directv as a technicion) that will alow me to be home with our kids and for Tanner to begin coursework at SLCC in January! We really couldn't ask for more from our first year and feel extremly blessed and grateful for Heavenly Father's hand in our lives everyday.
